Leonardo UK Ltd in Luton is seeking an FPGA Design Engineer to design, verify and optimise FPGA logic for advanced EW and FCA systems. You’ll work on SoC-based platforms and high-speed interfaces, delivering real-time processing and signal handling in mission-critical environments.

The role offers hybrid working with on-site presence as needed, plus access to an FPGA Academy to deepen expertise while contributing to live programmes.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or similar, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a structured engineering development lifecycle.
• Exposure to digital systems and hardware-proximate development.
• Awareness of high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, LVDS).

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and verify FPGA logic for EW and FCA systems.
• Work on modern FPGA platforms enabling high-speed data movement and low-latency processing.
• Support FPGA solutions for advanced signal processing and real-time data handling.
• Translate system requirements into robust FPGA architectures and implementations.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems and software teams to deliver integrated solutions.
