Leonardo UK Ltd seeks an FPGA Design Engineer focused on EW and FCA programmes. Role based in Luton with hybrid working, enabling high‑speed sensing, signal processing and real‑time decision making in mission‑critical environments.

You will design, verify, and integrate FPGA logic on advanced platforms, with exposure to SoC-based designs and embedded processing. A structured FPGA Academy supports ongoing development and live project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent practical experience in Electronic Engineering or related field.
• Experience within a structured engineering development lifecycle.
• Exposure to digital systems and hardware-proximate development.
• Awareness of high-speed interfaces (Ethernet, PCIe, JESD, LVDS).
• Hands-on system-level debug and test.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and verify FPGA logic for EW and FCA systems.
• Work on platforms supporting high-speed data movement and low-latency processing.
• Translate requirements into robust FPGA architectures and implementations.
• Collaborate with hardware, systems and software teams for integrated solutions.
• Participate in design and technical reviews and support UK sites as needed.
