Zusammenfassung

Leonardo is seeking a Senior/Principal/Lead Hardware Engineer for EW and FCA programmes, based primarily at Luton and Bristol with hybrid work options. You will own hardware across the lifecycle, from requirements to customer delivery, focusing on high-speed digital, mixed-signal and power electronics in demanding environments.

You will mentor peers and shape hardware strategy. The role requires hands-on PCB design, FPGA/SoC expertise, and close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams.

Qualifikationen

• Senior/Principal/Lead Hardware Engineer experience.
• Strong background in high-speed digital, mixed-signal, analogue design or power electronics.
• Hands-on design of high-speed PCBs, including schematic capture, layout oversight and simulation.
• Experience with FPGA/SoC or microprocessor-based designs and high-speed serial links (PCIe, Ethernet).
• Practical expertise in hardware bring-up, debug, test and verification.
• Ability to interpret system requirements and apply EMC/EMI considerations.

Aufgaben

• Own hardware designs across full lifecycle from requirements to delivery.
• Design and develop complex electronics including PCBs, FPGA/SoC architectures and high-speed interfaces.
• Translate system requirements into robust hardware solutions.
• Lead or contribute to design reviews and technical decisions.
• Integrate in-house designs with COTS modules and drive verification.
