Job Name: FP&A Accountant Manager

Location: Holborn Office

Rate: £475 per day

Duration: 6 months

Job description

Challenging cost spend across the organisation to enable the Bank to identify opportunities to save money and achieve its cost targets. Working with Senior Management to improve and enhance cost controls. Support Exco in building an appropriate cost profile that represents the scale of the Bank

  • Building clear reporting for ExCo and Board on cost, including forecasting
  • Build clear cost KPIs to enable and support the Bank and ExCo in delivering its cost budget
  • Build and implement cost allocation methodologies to support product and channel profitability and segmentation models
  • Providing information and insight to the Cost Steerco
  • Challenging the senior management and ExCo on the cost shape of the bank, including how and where the Bank is spending its money
  • Identifying opportunities and insight to support and enable the bank to achieve its cost targets
  • Breaking out the bank\'s cost base in a way to enable cost allocation, profitability and segmental models

Any other duties as required that reasonably fall within the job.

Skills / Experience
  • have managed cost processes and budgets at a senior level within financial services
  • have the ability to support and challenge at all levels of Metro Bank
  • have proven relationship management and stakeholder management skills
  • have in depth knowledge of cost management strategies and KPIs
  • Worked at a senior level within a Bank, including regular ExCo engagement
  • Significant experience working at executive level in financial consulting, investment banking, or corporate financial analysis
  • Strong quantitative data analysis skills, including advanced Excel modeling skills
  • Retail Banking experience
  • Must demonstrate ability to work in a team environment and willingness to assume additional or new responsibilities readily
  • Excellent communication (both oral and written), interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast paced, changing environment and be detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
