Job summary

Clipbook, a fast-growing UK-based data insights platform, is seeking an experienced backend engineer to help scale AI-powered workflows and ship features to 200+ customers.

You'll join a small but mighty team with engineers from Meta, Stripe, and AWS, contributing to a product used by government agencies and major consultancies. This role emphasizes pragmatic trade-offs, reliability, and fast iteration in a cloud environment with Docker/Kubernetes and CI/CD.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building and scaling production systems.
• Strong backend fundamentals and distributed systems knowledge.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and containerization (AWS/GCP, Docker/K8s).
• Excellent communication skills and ability to ship quickly.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build core systems end-to-end.
• Integrate AI into real-world workflows (LLMs, RAG, embeddings).
• Design scalable systems for future growth (10x).
• Develop performant APIs and services with reliability and security in mind.
