Job summary

Encord in London seeks an experienced engineer to push our platform to the next level of performance and reliability. You will join a small, autonomous group, building foundational systems across the stack and owning projects from design through deployment.

You should have strong full-stack experience, fluency in Python or TypeScript, and experience with React, Kubernetes, and GCP. This role offers a high-trust culture and meaningful impact on AI data workflows across Europe.

Qualifications

• Experience building full-stack systems with production-grade code.
• Ability to own projects end-to-end from planning to deployment.
• Experience in startup/high-growth environments is a plus.
• Familiarity with ML workflows or ML infra is bonus.

Responsibilities

• Build and extend foundational systems across the full stack, from backend services to frontend interfaces.
• Take end-to-end ownership of projects from product and architectural decisions through deployment, monitoring, and measuring impact.
• Work autonomously to drive projects forward while collaborating with a lean, high-trust team.
• Tackle complex domains at massive scale using simple, well-crafted solutions.
• Take initiative and continuously seek improvements across the codebase and product.
