Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD are seeking a Design Engineer for the Camberley, Surrey area. Salary £40,000 - £49,000 per year plus a Company Car or £4,730 Car Allowance and excellent benefits.

You will design foundations, ground improvement solutions, anchors, and soil nails, producing designs for tender and live projects while supporting construction teams and contributing to engineering innovation.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Interest or experience in foundations and ground engineering.
• Knowledge of piling, retaining structures, grouting, soil mixing, anchors or soil nails is advantageous.
• Experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys Suite or AutoCAD is desirable; training can be provided.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills and good communication.

Responsibilities

• Design foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement solutions.
• Design ground anchors and soil nail systems.
• Produce efficient designs for tender and live projects.
• Provide technical support to construction teams throughout project delivery.
• Prepare engineering calculations, reports and design documentation.
• Work with project, estimating and site teams to develop cost‑effective solutions.
• Contribute to innovation and continuous improvement in the design department.
