Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to lead the design of piled foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement schemes in Camberley, Surrey. The role involves reviewing calculations, mentoring graduates, and liaising with project managers to resolve technical challenges.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree, with strong knowledge of PLAXIS, WALLAP, Oasys Suite and AutoCAD, and a proactive approach to multi-project

• Experience in foundation engineering or geotechnical design.
• Strong leadership, communication and multi-project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design of piled foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement schemes.

• Provide technical guidance and support throughout project delivery.
• Liaise with project managers, site teams and clients to resolve challenges.

Job Overview

• Leading the design of piled foundations, retaining structures and ground improvement schemes.
• Designing ground anchors, soil nails and other specialist geotechnical solutions.
• Reviewing and checking engineering calculations and technical reports.
• Providing technical guidance and support throughout project delivery.
• Liaising with project managers, site teams and clients to resolve engineering challenges.
• Mentoring graduate and junior engineers.
• Driving innovation and promoting best practice across the design team.

Job Requirements

• Degree qualified in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• Previous experience within foundation engineering, geotechnical design or specialist ground engineering.
• Strong understanding of foundation design, retaining structures and ground improvement techniques.
• Experience with PLAXIS, WALLAP, the Oasys Suite and AutoCAD is desirable.
• Excellent technical, communication and leadership skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to manage multiple projects.
