Job summary

Leicester City Football Club is recruiting a Foundation Phase Coach for the Academy, focusing on players aged 9–11. You will plan and deliver age‑appropriate coaching within the Academy curriculum, fostering confidence, skills and game intelligence in a dynamic environment.

The role requires significant experience with youth development and strong communication with players, parents, and staff, plus a UEFA B qualification (or progress toward it).

Qualifications

• Minimum UEFA B qualification (or working towards) is essential.
• Significant experience in developing young players aged 9–11.
• Ability to communicate positively with young players, parents, coaches and management.

About The Role & Who We’re Scouting

We’re on the lookout for passionate and skilled Foundation Phase Coaches to join our squad at Leicester City Football Club. You’ll play a key role in supporting the development of young players within Leicester City Academy by creating an engaging, inclusive and appropriately challenging learning environment that enables players aged 9-11 to develop as confident, skilful, intelligent and adaptable footballers.

Your responsibilities will include planning and deliveringhigh-quality, age-appropriate coaching practices that align with the Academy curriculum and the developmental needs of 9-11-year-old players, and you’ll need to bring a pro-active and innovative approach to the table. If you're excited about making a difference and contributing to the Club’s success, this could be the perfect opportunity for you!

The ideal candidate will have significant experience of young player development and knowledge of appropriate technique and skill development practices. You’ll need to be able to communicate positively with young players, their parents, coaches and management with energy and enthusiasm. A minimum UEFA B qualification (or working towards) is essential, and we’re looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
