Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a Fostering Team Manager for the North East region. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working and a salary up to £55,000 depending on experience.

You will lead and support fostering social workers, safeguard children, recruit and train foster carers, and ensure regulatory compliance. The successful candidate will hold a Diploma/Degree in Social Work with post-qualification experience in fostering and will work with local authorities and partner

Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Social Work is required.
  • Post-qualification experience in Fostering is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and support fostering social workers and staff.
  • Ensure the safety, welfare, and safeguarding of children in foster care.
  • Oversee recruitment, assessment, approval, and retention of foster carers; provide training and ongoing support.
  • Manage complex fostering cases and placement decisions.
  • Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, legislation, and policies.
  • Monitor service quality, performance, and outcomes for children; conduct audits and implement service improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with local authorities and partner agencies.
  • Manage team workloads, performance, and professional development.
  • Contribute to budget management and resource planning.
  • Support strategic planning and development of fostering services.

An Independent Fostering Agency is looking for a Fostering Team Manager for their fostering service that covers North East Region. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working.

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)
