Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates is seeking a supervising social worker to lead the fostering service across Coventry, Warwickshire and Northamptonshire. This permanent, full-time role offers hybrid working (1–2 days in the office weekly) and a robust remit within a therapeutic approach.

You will hold a social work degree with post-qualification experience in Children's Social Work, with knowledge of current fostering legislation.

• Post-qualification experience in Children's Social Work.
• Up-to-date understanding of fostering legislation.

Job description

A specialist therapeutic independent fostering agency are looking for a supervising social worker for their fostering service with a caseload covering the Coventry, Warwickshire & Northamptonshire. This is a permanent and full-time position that is hybrid working (1/2 days per week in office).

You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no VISA sponsorship available)

This independent fostering agency is well known for working with a therapeutic approach and their service is rated “good” by Ofsted (2026). They have several regionally based teams across the UK but this service is based in the West Midlands with an office in Birmingham or Tamworth that you can be based at.

About you

The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Children's Social Work whilst having an up-to-date understanding of relevant fostering legislation.
