Job summary

Staffordshire County Council in England is seeking a dedicated Social Worker to join the East Fostering Support and Supervision Team on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will work with foster carers, children and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes and stable family environments.

The ideal candidate is a Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England, holds a UK driving licence, and is committed to continuous professional development.

Qualifications

• Qualified Social Worker registered with Social Work England.
• Current UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
• Commitment to continuous professional development.
• Experience of working in a fostering role is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking regular supervision, support, and unannounced visits to foster carers.
• Undertake fostering assessments in relation to changes of approval, long-term fostering assessments and foster carer annual reviews.
• Close liaison with children’s teams and others involved in the team around fostered children to ensure good outcomes.
