Leaders in Care is recruiting a Supervising Social Worker in Birmingham to oversee a caseload of up to 10 fostering cases, supervise foster carers, and ensure children's needs are met. The role demands safeguarding expertise and strong report writing within a collaborative team.

The ideal candidate will hold a Social Work qualification, be registered with Social Work England, and have 3+ years in children7s services with fostering or related care settings, plus driving licence and IT

Qualifications

• Recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
• Current registration with Social Work England
• Experience in children's services, fostering or related settings
• Ability to assess and supervise foster carers and prepare reports
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage workload with autonomy

Responsibilities

• Oversee caseload of up to 10 fostering cases
• Supervise and support foster carers and children
• Complete Form F assessments and present to fostering panel
• Recruit, assess, approve and train prospective foster carers
• Deliver pre- and post-approval training for carers
• Maintain case records and reviews on time
• Coordinate with local authorities and other stakeholders
• Respond to safeguarding concerns and join out-of-hours rota
• Mentor student social workers on placement
