Job summary

Fostering Innovations in Birmingham is seeking a Supervising Social Worker to support foster carers across Birmingham and the West Midlands. You will supervise, guide and visit carers, carrying out annual reviews and statutory visits as required.

The role also involves assessing prospective carers, liaising with placing local authorities, and contributing to fostering panel processes. A recognised social work qualification and current registration are essential, along with a valid UK driving

Qualifications

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current registration.
• Experience in fostering or children's social care.
• Knowledge of Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards.
• Excellent analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.

Location: Birmingham, West Midlands

Salary: £36,000 - £39,000

Contract: Permanent

Pro Social Partners are working with Fostering Innovations, an independent fostering agency, to recruit a Supervising Social Worker to support their foster carers across Birmingham and the West Midlands.

The Role

• Provide supervision, support and guidance to a caseload of approved foster carers.
• Complete annual reviews, carer development plans and statutory visits, including unannounced visits.
• Support placements and liaise closely with placing local authority social workers.
• Contribute to assessments of prospective foster carers and attend fostering panel.
• Promote safe care and positive outcomes for children in placement.

About You

• A recognised Social Work qualification and current Social Work England registration.
• Experience within fostering or children's social care.
