Job summary

ICIS is building the first forward-deployed product team and you will lead that effort, working directly with chemicals customers to define discovery-led development and deliver measurable value. You will own customer relationships and guide initiatives from discovery through pilots and scalable patterns.

You will collaborate with cross-functional leaders, translate customer needs into strategic product direction, and drive impact through AI-enabled solutions in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Track record in customer-back, forward-deployed or embedded product work delivering intelligence, workflow or platform outcomes.
• Ability to translate customer needs into product direction and measurable value.
• Leadership through influence across cross-functional teams without formal authority.
• Commercial judgement to prioritise problems with customer value over features.
• Technical fluency to engage with engineering and data science on AI-driven solutions.

Responsibilities

• Lead two to three active forward-deployed initiatives with named chemicals customers.
• Deliver the first working proof of concept to a customer within 60 days.
• Drive the first paid pilot to go live within one quarter.
• Own the squad’s discovery and delivery rhythm with weekly customer engagement.
• Maintain a live discovery view for every initiative.
• Act as the gate for outputs, ensuring a working PoC before PRDs.
• Make go/no-go decisions on discovery tracks based on evidence.
• Create playbooks and enablement materials for Sales and central teams when patterns are validated.
