Job summary

Sierra is seeking a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer to own the end-to-end lifecycle of customer deployments, architecting and implementing deployment strategies across enterprise environments. You will work directly with enterprise customers to deploy, upgrade, and manage Sierra's AI platform infrastructure, ensuring security and compliance.

Qualifications

Professional fluency in Spanish and English.
4+ years in infrastructure, DevOps, platform engineering, or solutions architecture with customer-facing deployment work.
Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, container orchestration, and cloud networking (VPCs, IAM, DNS, load balancing).
Track record deploying in customer-owned cloud environments with security, compliance, and change management.
Ability to navigate enterprise stakeholders and turn infrastructure conversations into deployment plans.
Strong operational instincts: upgrades, rollbacks, monitoring, and failure modes from the start.
Comfortable in a fast-moving environment and cross-functional collaboration.
Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

Own deployment architecture conversations and execution across customer environments, including VPC configuration, permissioning, networking, and infrastructure provisioning.
Manage the full infrastructure lifecycle for Sierra’s major customers: initial deployment, upgrades, scaling, and incident support.
Develop and maintain deployment runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling to make operations repeatable.
Partner with engineering to ensure Sierra’s platform is deployable and operable across diverse requirements.
Collaborate with customers' platform engineering, security, and DevOps to navigate constraints and compliance.
Work with Sales and Customer Success to scope infrastructure requirements during pre-sales and onboarding.
