Job summary

Sierra is seeking a Forward Deployed Infrastructure Engineer to own end-to-end deployments for enterprise customers, shaping how Sierra’s AI platform is deployed and operated across environments. You will craft deployment architectures, manage lifecycles, and automate repeatable operations with engineering and product teams.

You’ll engage with customers' security and DevOps teams, align with Sales and Customer Success, and drive scalable infrastructure strategies in a fast-moving setting.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in infrastructure, DevOps or similar roles with customer-facing deployments.
• Deep experience with AWS, Terraform, container orchestration and cloud networking.
• Experience deploying in varied customer environments with security and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment architecture conversations and execution across customer environments.
• Manage full infrastructure lifecycle for key customers: deployment, upgrades, scaling, support.
• Develop runbooks, upgrade procedures, and automation tooling for repeatable operations.
• Collaborate with engineering to ensure deployability and operability across requirements.
• Coordinate with customers' security and DevOps teams to meet constraints and compliance.
• Work with pre-sales and onboarding to translate needs into deployment plans.
