Heidi is expanding its team with a Forward Deployed Engineer who will be embedded with our most strategic customers. You will own the full technical lifecycle from first deployment to a thriving, self-sufficient customer, including integrations, workflows, debugging, and serving as a trusted technical partner with clinicians and IT teams.

You will work with Product and Engineering to surface real customer needs and shape the roadmap, translating field insights into concrete actions that improve

Qualifications

• 4+ years in a forward deploy, implementation engineering, or customer-facing technical role.
• You write code using Python, JS, or SQL.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, and ideally FHIR/HL7.
• Able to own ambiguous, high-stakes problems end-to-end without a playbook.
• Sharp communicator who can explain complex integrations to CTOs and clinicians.
• Experience embedded with enterprise customers or health systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical onboarding for enterprise customers — EMR integrations, SSO, SCIM provisioning, data pipelines, and security configuration.
• Design and build custom workflows with clinicians and operators; write code, not just specs.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues across the stack and coordinate with engineering.
• Build tooling, scripts, and automation to speed deployments and scale.
• Translate field observations into actionable signals for Product and Engineering.
