Job summary

Reliable Contractors Limited is seeking a Formwork Carpenter for a Plymouth-based MOD project, with a full-time salary on PAYE terms and 30 days holidays. You will work on major redevelopment works, constructing, erecting and dismantling formwork systems in reinforced concrete structures, under safety and engineering supervision.

The role requires CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card, Level 2/3 NVQ Formwork, and BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card is required.
• Level 2 NVQ Formwork or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Formwork is required.
• Safety Critical Medical is required.
• Previous Formwork Carpenter experience on major projects is required.
• Experience with reinforced concrete structures and system formwork is required.
• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures is required.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
• Reliable and proactive approach to work is required.
• Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance.
• Passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and 5 years UK residence is required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, erect and dismantle formwork systems per project drawings.
• Install and maintain timber and proprietary formwork for reinforced concrete structures.
• Ensure formwork is accurately aligned and securely fixed before concrete placement.
• Work with engineers, supervisors and concrete gangs to meet programme targets.
• Inspect formwork to ensure quality compliance.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organised work area.
• Comply with Health, Safety and Environmental procedures.
• Support delivery of major MOD infrastructure works.

Formwork Carpenter (Plymouth) - Fulltime

An opportunity to work on our MOD project in Plymouth, delivering major redevelopment works over the coming years.

PAYE basis

Competitive rate depending on experience/qualifications

Paid Holidays: 30 days per year (including bank holidays)

Must Have:

• CSCS Blue Skilled Worker Card


• Level 2 NVQ Formwork or Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Formwork

• Previous experience as a Formwork Carpenter on major construction or infrastructure projects


• Experience with reinforced concrete structures and system formwork


• Good understanding of Health & Safety procedures


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team


• Reliable and proactive approach to work


• Must be eligible for BPSS Security Clearance


• Candidates must hold a passport from a NATO or MISWG member country and have resided in the UK for the past 5 years

This role is site based - Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct, erect and dismantle formwork systems in accordance with project drawings


• Install and maintain timber and proprietary formwork for reinforced concrete structures


• Ensure all formwork is accurately aligned and securely fixed before concrete placement


• Work closely with engineers, supervisors and concrete gangs to achieve programme targets


• Inspect completed formwork to ensure compliance with quality standards


• Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area


• Comply with all Health, Safety and Environmental procedures
  
• Support the successful delivery of major MOD infrastructure works
