Job summary

Danny Sullivan Group is seeking a Carpenter Chargehand for Banbury on a long-term construction project to lead carpentry and formwork activities. You will read drawings, interpret specifications, and supervise on-site teams to ensure accurate formwork for reinforced concrete structures.

The ideal candidate will have CSCS Blue/Gold Card, SSSTS/SMSTS, strong joinery and formwork experience, and the ability to work accurately from technical drawings. PAYE and weekly pay are provided.

Qualifications

• CSCS Blue or Gold Card required.
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification preferred.
• Strong joinery and formwork/shuttering carpentry experience.
• Ability to read and work accurately from technical drawings.
• Excellent understanding of reinforced concrete formwork.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support carpentry/formwork activities on a long-term project.
• Read and interpret drawings, general arrangement drawings, specs and standards.
• Construct, assemble and erect formwork for reinforced concrete frames.
• Ensure formwork is accurate and ready for concrete pours.
• Supervise work on site and coordinate with foremen.
• Maintain high quality, productivity and safety standards.
• Coordinate with site teams to meet programme targets.

Salary: GBP23.03 - GBP30.04 per hour + Overtime

Carpenter Chargehand – Banbury

• Lead and support carpentry/formwork activities on a long-term construction project.
• Read and interpret drawings, general arrangement drawings, specifications and British Standards.
• Construct, assemble and erect formwork for reinforced concrete frames and structures.
• Ensure formwork is accurate and ready for concrete pouring gangs.
• Supervise work on site, supporting the General/Working Foreman.
• Maintain high standards of quality, productivity and health & safety.
• Coordinate with site teams to ensure work is completed efficiently and to programme.

Requirements:

• CSCS Blue or Gold Card

• Strong joinery and formwork/shuttering carpentry experience
