Job summary

Bristol Waste Company is seeking a Yard Operative to load, transport and unload waste and recycling materials in line with company procedures and legal requirements. The role requires a full UK driving licence and a Counterbalance forklift licence.

You will operate the sort-line, baler, and other machinery, with training provided as needed. The job includes daily vehicle checks, paperwork, and potential Saturday work with bank holidays. Opportunities for development and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence and Counterbalance forklift licence required.
• Ability to lift boxes and recyclable materials.
• Willingness to work bank holidays and Saturdays.

Responsibilities

• Driving and operating vehicles and equipment as required by the company and in line with safety procedures and training.
• Operating the sort-line and baler machine, loading and unloading recycling and waste materials.
• Operating a counterbalance forklift with rotator attachment (training provided).
• Operating other relevant machines - baler, plant machine (training provided).
• Maintain site, vehicle and equipment cleanliness and complete required paperwork.
