Job summary

Sodexo Ltd is seeking a dedicated Forklift & Waste Operative to join our corporate site in Reading. You will support waste management, operate forklift machinery, and help keep facilities clean and orderly while following safety procedures to ensure smooth operations.

You will work under Site Leads with COSHH and RAMS compliance, contributing to a safe, tidy, and efficient workplace. A valid counterbalance forklift licence is required.

Qualifications

• COSHH and RAMS awareness.
• Physically fit for heavy lifting.
• Valid counterbalance forklift licence.
• Experience using pallet trucks.

Responsibilities

• Waste management & recycling on site.
• Operate waste management machinery and forklift trucks.
• Clean external and internal areas and assist with maintenance.
• Follow COSHH assessments and site procedures.
• Identify hazards, report issues and maintain safe work areas.
• Complete and submit waste transfer and consignment notes to the Cleaning & Waste Manager.
