Job summary

CSG in Gloucester is seeking a Counterbalance Forklift Operative to join our team on a full-time basis. You will handle waste materials, load/unload pallets, and assist with recycling tasks across the site, operating various machinery and complying with PPE and health & safety standards.

First and foremost you will hold a counterbalance forklift licence and a current driving licence, be able to work outdoors, and support colleagues on night shifts when required. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence and valid driving licence.
• Night shift availability with higher rate.
• Good command of English, both spoken and written.
• Team player committed to health and safety standards.
• DBS clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Emptying bins and replacing bags in offices and factory floor.
• Offloading and loading pallets and containers with forklift.
• Operation of a forklift for movement between storage and processing areas.
• Ensuring materials are stored in bunded areas with segregation under supervision of a chemist.
• Assisting with recycling waste across the site.
• Breaking down materials to maximise recycling.
• Using forklift to load lorries and move materials around site.
• Operating various machinery as needed.
• Some degree of manual handling tasks.
• Working outdoors with full PPE provided.
• Training will be provided.
