Job summary

Gregory Distribution Ltd in North Tawton is seeking a Warehouse Operative to join our logistics team. You will operate Counterbalance and Reach trucks, pick and dispatch goods, and help maintain accurate stock records.

Qualifications

• Counterbalance forklift licence advantageous; training provided.
• Excellent communication and teamworking skills.
• Keen eye for detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good numeracy and literacy to manage documentation.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Operate Counterbalance and Reach trucks to support warehouse operations.
• Use warehouse systems and handheld scanners to receive, locate, pick, and dispatch goods.
• Maintain quality and safety standards throughout the process.
• Replenish stock and consolidate inventory for demand readiness.
• Assist with pallet wrapping, labeling, and prep for shipment.
• Keep workspace clean and ensure equipment is safe and well-maintained.
• Complete paperwork and follow warehouse procedures; report issues promptly.
