Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative in Heckington. The role mixes forklift operations (about 20%) with production-based work (about 80%), within a busy food manufacturing environment.

You will safely operate a Counterbalance forklift, load/unload deliveries, support production and warehouse duties, and ensure hygiene and safety standards are followed. Temporary initially, with long-term potential.

Qualifications

• A valid Counterbalance FLT licence is required (in-house licences not accepted).
• Reliable, punctual and able to commit to long-term work.
• Capable of manual handling in a busy environment.
• Experience in a food production setting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move stock and materials.

We’re recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver / Warehouse Operative to join a busy food manufacturing business based in Heckington. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone seeking stable, full-time work with the chance of securing a permanent position.

Working within a fast-paced production environment, you’ll split your time between operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck and supporting the warehouse/dispatch team.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Safely operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move stock and materials.
• Loading and unloading deliveries.
• Supporting production by filling 1-tonne bulk bags and 25kg sacks with product.
• Assisting with general production and warehouse duties.
• Following food hygiene, health & safety and quality procedures.
• Helping to keep the production area clean, organised and efficient.

Please note that this role is approximately 20% FLT driving and 80% production-based work.

Duration: Long term, temp to perm opportunity.

Contract Type: Temporary

Hourly Rate: Pay Rates

• £13.25 per hour
• £16.56 per hour after 48 hours worked
• £800 per week

Working Hours: Working Hours

• 12-hour day shifts
• Overtime paid after 48 hours each week
