Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for a Counterbalance FLT Driver / Production Operative on a temporary to permanent basis in the UK. This varied role offers long-term stability with a reputable employer.

You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load and move stock, bulk nuts into bags, support the production line, and maintain high standards of cleanliness and food safety. Reliability and physical fitness are essential. Shift pattern is Monday to Friday with long shifts and breaks.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Counterbalance FLT licence (in-house licences not accepted).
• Reliable, committed and seeking long-term employment.
• Physically fit due to manual handling and production tasks.
• Able to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
• Attendance and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Load, unload and move stock around the warehouse.
• Bulking off nuts into 1-tonne bulk bags and 25kg sacks.
• Support the production line with general manufacturing duties.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, quality and food safety.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Counterbalance FLT Driver / Production operative temporary to permanent basis.

The Role

This is a varied position, with approximately:

• 20% Counterbalance FLT duties
• 80% Production line and warehouse duties

Daily responsibilities include:

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Loading, unloading and moving stock around the warehouse.
• Bulking off nuts into 1-tonne bulk bags and 25kg sacks.
• Supporting the production line with general manufacturing duties.
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, quality and food safety.
• Following all health and safety procedures.

Hourly Rate: £13.25 per hour£16.56 per hour after 48 hoursUp to £800 per weekWeekly pay28 days annual leav pro-rata
