Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is seeking a Forklift Driver to manage and control the delivery of materials to construction sites across the UK. You will work under the Site Manager and Materials Controller, ensuring accurate deliveries, proper storage, and safe handling of materials.

Ideal candidates hold a valid FLT licence and UK driving licence, with CSCS or equivalent card, and demonstrate strong health and safety awareness on large domestic builds.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised and use initiative.
• Health and Safety awareness is essential on construction sites.
• CSCS or partner scheme card is required for site access.

Responsibilities

• Regularly communicate with Site Manager to stay updated on changes to the construction programme.
• Advise on shortages of blocks/bricks and silo mix to prevent delays.
• Ensure deliveries are checked for quality and quantity and record defects or shortages.
• Store and label materials correctly and ensure waste is placed in the correct skips.
• Inspect forklift daily and record weekly inspections in the Plant Register.
• Carry out labouring duties as required.
