Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC is seeking a Forklift Driver to manage material deliveries on site, ensure stock accuracy, and support the construction programme across UK developments. The role requires a valid FLT licence, driving responsibilities, and adherence to safety standards.

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will coordinate with the Materials Controller, manage stock in the store, and carry out routine maintenance and safety checks. Hybrid working is not typical for this on-site role.

Qualifications

• Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative.
• Experience on large domestic volume house building sites.
• Hold a valid FLT licence and a full UK driving licence.
• Relevant Health and Safety Awareness.
• CSCS or partner scheme card.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with the Site Manager to track changes in the construction programme.
• Raise shortages notices for blocks, bricks and silo mix to avoid delays.
• Check deliveries for quality and quantity; record defects with Materials Controller.
• Store and label materials in designated areas; follow compound setup guidelines.
• Ensure waste is placed in correct site skips and manage waste controls.
• Report damaged materials to Site Manager/Assistant Site Manager when loading/unloading.
• Inspect forklift daily; record weekly inspections in Plant Register.
• Keep forklift clean and roadworthy; perform routine maintenance.
