Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd is seeking a dedicated service engineer to carry out on-site and occasional off-site service and repairs of forklift equipment. You will work to a structured schedule and ensure safety, quality, and documentation across client sites.

Responsibilities include completing paperwork, managing tools and the company van, and maintaining stock levels while delivering high-quality workmanship and strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• Must hold full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficient in fault finding and repair.
• GCSE English and Maths grade C.
• Health & Safety requirements in workshop practice.
• Commitment to ongoing personal and professional development.
• Excellent organisational skills, resourceful and solution driven.
• High standard of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and repairs to equipment on customer sites, safely and cost effectively, and document all work.
• Work to planned schedule of service and maintenance at client premises with occasional off-site work.
• Monitor site stock for day-to-day maintenance of the fleet.
• Carry out inspections and monitor safety of repaired/maintained trucks.
• Complete job sheets, timesheets and purchase paperwork on time.
• Manage equipment and tooling (van, laptop, printer) and keep them safe.
• Work to strict planned schedules and deadlines.
