Job summary

Crown Lift Trucks Ltd in Birmingham is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to perform inspections, service and repair of forklift trucks and handling equipment. You will carry out fault finding, prepare new equipment, source parts and work safely under COSHH regulations.

You will work independently or as part of a team, demonstrate good communication, organisation and a can-do attitude, and commit to ongoing personal and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must hold full UK Driving Licence.
• Proficient in fault finding and repair.
• Experience of Health & Safety requirements working in a workshop.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to multi-task and meet tight deadlines.
• Willingness to undertake training and development.

Responsibilities

• Complete inspections and safety checks in line with regulations.
• Complete day-to-day service, repair and maintenance of forklift trucks and handling equipment.
• Fault finding and repairs to meet first-fix targets.
• New equipment preparation.
• Sourcing of parts from internal or external suppliers.
• Communicate quickly to minimize downtime and achieve targets.
• Work to Health & Safety / COSHH regulations.
• Pursue personal and team development.
• Carry out other duties as reasonably requested by management.
