Job summary

Interaction Technical is seeking a skilled Forklift Engineer to join their expanding team in Basildon, Essex. The role involves diagnosing faults, servicing and repairing forklift and plant machinery at customer sites, with travel as needed.

The successful candidate will have pneumatics and hydraulics experience, plus mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. A full UK driving licence is required; a van and fuel card are provided.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical capabilities (essential).
• Electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair & service experience (advantageous).
• Experience in forklift, plant, HGV and/or agricultural industries (advantageous).
• Experience with engines and batteries (advantageous).
• Full UK Driver's licence (essential).

Responsibilities

• Accurately diagnose faults, service and carry out emergency repairs/breakdowns on forklift and plant machinery.
• Collaborate with customers surrounding lifting and handling products.
• Work independently within customer sites and collaborate with colleagues to ensure documentation and the perfect solution is offered.
• Actively travel to sites and carry out repairs of the equipment and create solutions.
• Work on engines, batteries, pneumatics and hydraulics, alongside mechanical and electrical fault finding and repairs.

Our client has been established for nearly 50 years and is now at a stage of growth where they are looking to add an engineer to the team.

• Salary between £40,000‑£50,000 depending on experience
