Job summary

Interaction Technical is recruiting a Forklift Engineer to join their service team in the Cranbrook area. You will start in the workshop, learning the equipment and processes, then transition to mobile visits to carry out repairs and maintenance for customers.

The role offers a permanent, full-time position with a Monday–Friday schedule, optional overtime, and a company van for business use. Training and career progression are provided within a well-established business.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working on forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, HGV, or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, repairing and maintaining forklift trucks and material handling equipment.
• Carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown repairs on the rental fleet.
• Servicing and repairing customers' own equipment in workshop and on-site.
• Diagnosing mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults.
• Completing service documentation accurately using the PDA system.
• Delivering excellent customer service while working independently on customer sites.
• Maintaining a safe and organised working environment.

The Role

Initially based withinthe Cranbrookworkshop, you willwork alongside experiencedengineers to familiariseyourself with thecompany's equipment, processes, and team. Oncefully trained, youwill become amobile service engineer, visiting customer sitesthroughout the localarea to carryout repairs andmaintenance.

What We’re LookingFor

• NVQ or City & Guilds qualification in Mechanical Engineering,Plant Maintenance, ora related discipline
• Previous experience workingon forklift trucks, plant, agricultural, HGV, or similar equipment
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical fault-finding skills
• PUWER andLOLER qualifications (desirable)
• Thorough Examination(TE) certification (desirable)
• Safety-conscious withexcellent problem-solving abilities
• Self-motivated witha strong qualityfocus and attentionto detail
• Full UK drivinglicence (essential)
