Job summary

Kenect Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a vigilant worker to operate a counterbalanced forklift and assist with waste collection and processing in Bebington. The role requires safe handling of baled material and adherence to safety policies, with daily documentation and client liaison as needed.

Shift is 07:30-16:30, Monday to Friday, at a site-based location. Training and compliance with waste legislation are expected, supporting the client’s environmental and safety goals.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a counterbalanced forklift and handling heavy waste/containers.
• Commitment to health and safety policies and procedures.
• Ability to follow client and company reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Safe operation of a counterbalanced forklift truck including baled material ready for onward disposal.
• Safe operation of static baling and compaction equipment to process waste.
• Completing daily check sheets and relevant defect sheets for all equipment used.
• Safely loading and unloading waste and other goods or equipment as directed.
• Collection of waste from service yards and terminals as directed by scheduled collections and adhoc client requests.
• Collecting, segregating, storing, moving and processing routine and non-routine waste as directed.
• Manually lifting and moving large and bulky items in a safe manner.
• Liaising directly with the client to complete adhoc collection requests.
• Conduct regular litter picks in the working areas to ensure tidiness and clean working standards.
• Completing all work-related documentation accurately and on time.
