Job summary

Blue Arrow is recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver in Kilmarnock to join a busy warehouse operation. Immediate start available, with a fixed-term contract running through to March 2027.

You will operate a counterbalance forklift, load and unload vehicles, move stock, and maintain safety standards while performing daily checks. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 7:30am–4:00pm, with overtime opportunities on weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Experience operating a forklift in a warehouse/manufacturing/industrial setting.
• Strong health and safety awareness and reliability.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Move stock and materials throughout the site.
• Stack and store goods in designated locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Assist with general warehouse duties when required.
• Adhere to all site health and safety procedures.

Pay Rate: 13.50 per hour

Working Hours

• Monday to Friday

• Sunday: Double Time

The Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Forklift Driver to join our client's busy operation in Kilmarnock. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual looking for long-term work, with an immediate start available and work secured through to March 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement, loading and unloading of materials, ensuring goods are stored correctly and supporting wider warehouse and operational activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials throughout the site
• Stacking and storing goods in designated locations
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
• Adhering to all site health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
• Previous experience operating a forklift truck within a warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
