Job summary

Blue Arrow are recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Driver to join our busy operation in Ayr. An immediate start is available and the contract runs through to March 2027. You will move materials, load/unload vehicles and help maintain a safe, efficient warehouse environment.

The role requires a valid Counterbalance forklift licence and prior forklift experience in a warehouse or industrial setting. Monday to Friday pattern with overtime opportunities and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Valid Counterbalance forklift licence (RTITB/ITSSAR or equivalent).
• Previous experience operating a forklift truck in warehouse or industrial settings.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate a counterbalance forklift truck safely and efficiently.
• Load and unload vehicles and move stock around the site.
• Stack and store goods in designated locations.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised working environment.
• Assist with general warehouse duties as required.
• Adhere to all site health and safety procedures.

Job description

Blue Arrow are currently recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our client's busy operation in Ayr. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable and safety-conscious individual looking for long-term work, with an immediate start available and work secured through to March 2027.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe movement, loading and unloading of materials, ensuring goods are stored correctly and supporting wider warehouse and operational activities as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Loading and unloading vehicles
• Moving stock and materials throughout the site
• Stacking and storing goods in designated locations
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting defects
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
• Assisting with general warehouse duties when required
• Adhering to all site health and safety procedures

Requirements

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence (RTITB, ITSSAR or equivalent)
• Previous experience operating a forklift truck within a warehouse, manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication skills
• Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
