Job summary

Tessenderlo Group, a leading UK distributor of civils and drainage products, is hiring a Yard/Branch Assistant for our Cardiff branch. You will provide product and service information, pick orders accurately, assist with loading/unloading using a forklift, process orders on time, and help on the trade counter with customers.

We value hardworking, flexible individuals with excellent communication skills and a willingness to train in all operational aspects.

We are actively looking to appoint a Yard/Branch Assistant to join the successful team in our Cardiff branch. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who can work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service, this may be the perfect opportunity for you! Your job In this role as a Yard/Branch Assistant your duties will involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required
• Customer interaction

  Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills

• Literacy & Numeracy
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment

Desirable:

• Experience in Warehousing
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Forklift truck licence
