Job summary

John Davidson Pipes, part of the Tessenderlo Group, is looking for a Yard/Branch Assistant for its Cardiff branch. You will deliver excellent customer service, handle orders, and support loading/unloading with a forklift. A hands-on, team-focused individual with Health & Safety awareness is ideal.

The role suits someone with warehousing experience, literacy and numeracy, basic computer skills, and a forklift licence. Long-term career with a stable market leader; pension scheme available.

Qualifications

Job Description

We are actively looking to appoint a Yard/Branch Assistant to join the successful team in our Cardiff branch. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who can work as part of a team and provide excellent customer service, this may be the perfect opportunity for you!

In this role as a Yard/Branch Assistant your duties will involve:

• Providing customers with product and service information
• Pick customer orders accurately
• Assist with loading and unloading of vehicles using a forklift truck
• Process orders accurately, within a time dictated by the customer deadline
• Serve customers on the trade counter when required

You will come to us with:

• Excellent communication skills and some customer service skills
• Literacy & Numeracy
• A hardworking & helpful individual to train in all aspects of our operation
• An understanding of Health & Safety in a work environment
• Experience in Warehousing
• Basic knowledge of computers
• Forklift truck licence
