Job summary

Eurofins Forensic Services is seeking a Scene of Crime (SOC) examiner to analyze biological evidence and deliver scientifically robust profiles. The role requires adherence to GLP, SOPs and strict chain‑of‑custody controls, with a focus on high-throughput, accurate results for the Criminal Justice System.

The candidate will work within a high‑throughput lab environment, support daily workflows, and communicate progress to supervisors.

Qualifications

• GLP is central to everything we do, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
• Hands-on experience in laboratory testing is helpful but not essential; comprehensive training is provided.

Responsibilities

• SOC examination work: complete all examination work for SOC lab submissions with timely processing.
• Operational compliance: follow customer protocols, GLP, and EFS Quality Manual.
• SOP-driven analysis: perform examinations per SOPs within agreed timescales.
• Exhibit integrity: maintain chain-of-custody and secure handling of all exhibits.
• Lab workflow support: assist with daily space and workflow management.
• Progress communication: update Production Supervisor on examination progress.
• Non-casework updates: inform Line Manager of non-casework task progress.
• Science and Quality support: contribute to continuous improvement and lab standards.
• Time booking accuracy: record daily activity in the system accurately.
• Continuous improvement: seek opportunities to improve methods and processes.
• Customer returns: ensure compliant return of exhibits per procedures.
