Job summary

Eurofins Forensic Services (EFS) in the UK is seeking a DNA analyst to perform high‑throughput profiling of forensic evidence, ranging from simple swabs to exhibits used in criminal activity. You will deliver scientifically robust profiles to support accurate identification and strengthen investigations.

The role operates on a 37.5‑hour week with two shift patterns and associated allowances; training and competency assessments are provided.

• You will perform high-throughput DNA profiling with required training and competency assessments.
• Strong communication and collaboration with colleagues are essential to maintain efficient workflows.

Responsibilities

• Carry out testing and documentation of forensic samples with minimal supervision.
• Perform STR profiling on exhibits and samples using DNA extraction, quantification, PCR and data analysis.
• Maintain GLP compliance and quality systems across the lab.
• Support laboratory operations including archiving, disposal, equipment upkeep and stock monitoring.
• Identify non-conformances and contribute to process improvements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Communicate clearly with team leads to ensure efficient, coordinated lab processes.
