Job summary
Mountain Healthcare seeks a Sexual Offence Examiner to provide compassionate care to victims and to train towards becoming a qualified Forensic Practitioner. The role covers 24/7 shifts, with full training and progression opportunities within the clinical forensic healthcare field.
You will conduct holistic assessments, collaborate with police and social services, and engage in ongoing professional development through CPD and the Forensic Practitioner Gateway.
Qualifications
- Qualified RN, Midwife, RMN or Paramedic with active registration.
- Minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Forensic examinations and obtaining exhibits.
- Develop forensic strategies per FFLM guidelines.
- Work with external MDTs and Police.
- First point of contact for victims, Police and Social Services.
- Promote self-referral pathways.
- Undertake holistic assessments incl. sexual health and safeguarding.
- Support ongoing quality improvement of the service.
- Work under Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
- Obtain consent for health and forensic procedures.
