Job summary

Securitas UK is seeking a Sexual Offence Examiner within The Cumbria SARC to provide holistic care to victims of sexual assault. The role combines forensic elements with clinical practice for RN, Midwife, or Paramedic professionals in a sensitive environment.

The position offers full or part-time options, with training provided to become a qualified Forensic Practitioner and opportunities for further education after one year in-post.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid registration as RN, midwife, or paramedic.
• Minimum 3 years post-qualification experience.
• Experience with safeguarding of children and adults.
• Knowledge of confidentiality and data protection.

Responsibilities

• Forensic examinations and obtaining forensic exhibits.
• Develop Forensic strategies according to FFLM guidelines.
• Actively working in partnership with external MDTs and Police.
• 1st point of contact for victims, Police and Social Services to discuss referral pathways.
• Manage and promote the self-referral pathway.
• Undertaking holistic assessments including sexual health, mental health, and safeguarding.
• Producing individual management plans.
• Supporting the continued quality improvement of the service.
• Working under the Forensic Science Regulator requirements.
• Obtaining consent for Health and Forensic procedures.
