The role requires the flexibility to work not only in your base Custody suite but across an assigned region in the Police Custody Suites and Force area.

No previous forensic experience required as full training will be given.

Main duties of the job

As a certified nurse or paramedic, you can pursue a career within the criminal justice system, aiding some of society's most vulnerable individuals. We believe in the right to healthcare for all, placing their health and wellbeing at the heart of our approach to care. We seek individuals eager to provide exemplary care, take pride in being part of a team that shares this vision, and have a genuine enthusiasm for developing clinical, forensic, and broader skills.

In collaboration with the Police, you will serve in custody suites, delivering healthcare to detainees. We are dedicated to ensuring the safety of detainees with round-the-clock coverage in the custody suites, in line with a schedule agreed upon with our client.

About us

As well as a Scottish Widows Pension, you will qualify for a Blue Light card and associated shopping and leisure discounts. Additionally, there is the Mitie MiDeals scheme with over 3000 offers from your favourite retailers, leisure, and utilities companies.

Health and wellbeing benefits include a Virtual GP service for appointments and an Employee Assistance Programme for financial, relationship, or mental health issues.

The MitieChoices programme offers options to purchase extra Holiday Entitlement, Dental Insurance, Health cash plans, critical illness cover, and discounted gym memberships.

Share investment schemes, including Save-as-Earn (SAYE) and a Share Incentive Plan, are also available: a free share for every pair.

The MitieStars programme awards vouchers for exceptional performance, recognition across the company, and bonuses up to hundreds of pounds (or thousands for the best Mitie Stars!).

You refer a colleague who successfully joins us? That is £500 each time!
