This role is an alternative career option suitable for Registered General Nurses (RGNs) and qualified Paramedics with over 3 years of post-qualification experience.
The custody environment is dynamic and lively, with no two days alike. Detainees can be held for up to 24 hours, and we provide high-quality care tailored to their needs, which may include dependency issues or acute medical episodes.
Our healthcare professionals are trained to collect forensic samples to assist police investigations. Experience in forensics is not required; training and support will be provided to become an accredited Forensic Practitioner.
If you're seeking a better work-life balance, this role offers a 4-on-4-off rota, allowing you to plan your personal life well in advance. The shift pattern includes two day shifts, two night shifts, followed by four days off.
This position is available on a full-time and part-time basis and is based within Milton Keynes Police Custody Suite.
