Job summary

North Wales Police is seeking a motivated Administrator to support the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit (FCIU) within Scientific Support. You will provide high-quality administrative assistance to internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with the FSR and UKAS requirements, while maintaining precision under tight deadlines.

The role requires NVQ3 or equivalent, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Provide admin support within the Forensic Collision Investigation Unit.
  • Support internal and external customers while ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
  • Prioritise workload to meet deadlines in a demanding environment.
  • Prepare and manage documentation and data related to investigations.

Forensic Collision Investigation Unit Administrator

This is an outstanding opportunity for an Administrator to provide support within Scientific Support, specifically the Forensic Collision investigation Unit (FCIU) to provide support to internal and external customers and ensure forensic processes and policies are adhered to in line with force requirements and those of the Forensic Science Regulator (FSR) and the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

If you have a ‘can-do’ attitude and can prioritise your workload to deliver excellent customer service in a demanding environment within tight deadlines where precision is paramount, then this could be the job for you.

  • NVQ3 or equivalent qualification and / or proven relevant experience in administration work.
  • Possess sound judgement skills with the confidence to make justifiable decisions. Demonstrate a professional and structured approach to problem solving.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and oral and the ability to work on their own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Able to work under pressure in stressful situations, to organise and prioritise workloads and achieve objectives within set timelines.
