Northumbria Police is seeking a part-time FPU Support Services Administrator based at Bedlington Police Station in the Criminal Justice and Custody Department. You will undertake a broad range of administrative and casework duties to ensure services are delivered efficiently.
You will manage fixed penalty notices, maintain collision records, and provide guidance to the public while liaising with partner agencies.
(Please note it is Northumbria Police policy to appoint at the beginning of the band)
Location: Bedlington Police Station
Hours/Contract: Part time – 15 hours per week, permanent

As the FPU Support Services Administrator you will undertake a wide range of administrative and casework duties, ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of services within the unit.
Responsibilities include supporting the management, administration and processing of fixed penalty notices and maintaining accurate collision records across the force. The role requires a high level of attention to detail, the ability to manage competing priorities and a commitment to ensuring information is processed accurately and in accordance with force procedures and legislative requirements.
The role also involves providing advice, guidance and support to members of the public, responding to enquiries in a professional and customer-focused manner. Working closely with partner agencies and key stakeholders, the post holder will contribute to the delivery of effective services, ensuring information is shared appropriately and that enquiries are resolved efficiently. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential to build positive working relationships and maintain high standards of service provision.

This is a permanent role subject to a six-month probationary period.
