Job summary

The Ministry of Justice is seeking a Forensic or Clinical Registered Psychologist to work in Psychology Services for the South East & East regions. The role involves risk assessment, research, consultancy, and staff training for offenders and staff, with designated supervision of trainee psychologists.

This non-operational offender-facing post includes line management responsibilities and CPD/HCPC registration maintenance within a structured environment.

Qualifications

• HCPC registration and ongoing CPD required.

Responsibilities

• Offer authoritative professional advice on targets and objectives for offenders and advise on locations within establishments.
• Provide professional opinions for lifer or parole reports.
• Lead or contribute to risk assessment and management of offenders.
• Provide supervision and training to trainee psychologists and staff.
• Deliver consultancy to the SMT and other teams in psychology outcomes.
