HMP Swaleside Psychology Services is recruiting two permanent psychologists to reduce risk of harm and reoffending through assessment, research, consultancy and staff training. The role includes supervision of trainees, non-rotational duties, and hybrid working where business needs allow.

Qualifications

• Qualified forensic or clinical psychologist required.
• Enhanced DBS and security checks.
• Experience supervising trainees and staff development.
• Training in effective models of treatment and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead risk assessment and risk management, including ACCT and self-harm assessments where needed.
• Provide consultancy to senior management on psychology services and outcomes.
• Provide designated supervision to trainee psychologists toward chartered status.
• Develop staff against key competencies and gateways with policy consistency.
• Conduct research and data gathering/analysis for service improvement.
• Deliver or oversee complex treatment programmes and advise on specialist strategies such as sexual offending.
• Act as professional/expert witness at parole boards or court proceedings.
