Job summary

Core Group is seeking a Working Foreman / Site Supervisor for a school refurbishment project in Maidenhead. You will collaborate closely with the Site Manager, supervise trades, and ensure daily site activities run smoothly.

This hands-on role requires you to muck in when needed, maintain safety standards, and act as a reliable on-site contact when the Site Manager is unavailable.

WORKING FOREMAN / SITE SUPERVISOR - MAIDENHEAD

We are currently looking for a Working Foreman / Site Supervisor to join a school refurbishment project in Maidenhead.

Location: Maidenhead, SL6 1PD

Start: Early to mid-October

Duration: Approximately 12 months

Hours: 07:30 - 16:30, Monday to Friday

Rate: £21 per hour

The project involves the refurbishment of an existing prep school, which will be converted into an additional needs education provider.

The Role

You will work closely alongside the Site Manager, acting as the eyes and ears on site and reporting back where required.

This is a hands‑on working role, so we're looking for someone who is comfortable supervising the works but is also willing to roll their sleeves up and muck in when necessary.

Duties

• Working alongside the Site Manager to oversee day‑to‑day site activities
• Supervising and coordinating trades and labour on site
• Reporting progress, issues and any concerns back to the Site Manager
• Helping to maintain good standards of health & safety and housekeeping
• Ensuring operatives are working to the required standards
• Assisting with the works where required
• Being a reliable point of contact on site when the Site Manager is not immediately available

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Working Foreman, Site Supervisor or similar
• Good knowledge of construction site operations
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Able to supervise a team while also being hands‑on when required
• Reliable and confident dealing with trades and site management
• Relevant site qualifications/cards required for the role
