Aspire People are seeking a Food Technology Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Cardiff on a full-time basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

The role involves supporting students during Food Technology lessons, helping with practical cooking and food preparation, and assisting the teacher in the classroom. A patient, positive approach and safeguarding awareness are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality is desirable.
• Practical cooking or food preparation experience helpful.
• Experience working with children or young people desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students during Food Technology lessons.

The Role

• Encouraging students to develop confidence and practical skills

We're Looking For

• Experience or qualifications in Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality is desirable
• Practical cooking or food preparation experience
• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• A patient, supportive and positive approach
• Strong awareness of safeguarding and pupil wellbeing
• Ability to work effectively as part of a school team
