Aspire People are seeking a Food Technology Teaching Assistant to join a secondary school in Cardiff on a full-time basis, with the potential for the role to become permanent.

The role involves supporting students during Food Technology lessons, helping with practical cooking and food preparation, and assisting the teacher in the classroom. A patient, positive approach and safeguarding awareness are valued.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications in Food Technology, Catering or Hospitality is desirable.
• Practical cooking or food preparation experience helpful.
• Experience working with children or young people desirable.

Responsibilities

• Support students during Food Technology lessons.
• Assist with practical cooking and food preparation activities.
• Support the Food Technology teacher with classroom activities.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support where required.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and organised practical classroom.
• Encourage students to develop confidence and practical skills.
